Router Configuration:
0)Problems/Errors during configuration:
PROBLEM 1: Couldnt connect to Internet Through router.
Definition: The ISAE lan has configured a proxy HTTP server.
Solution: In order to connect to the Internet we have to set proxy.isae.fr:3128 as the proxy http server.
Notes: If we want to connect to the router we have to put its IP as an exception to the proxy since the proxy server is after the microtik router.
ERROR 2: TX error to router:
Definition: Couldn't connect to Internet. Can ping other devices connected to router but can't connect to router.
Solution: Reset router config with the default pin code 1234
PROBLEM 3: Proxy makes impossible communication wioth sip server
Description: the proxy isae is not configured in the router neither in the IP-DECT 400 so it can register the phones with the sip server
Solution
Problem 4: We are not able to connect the microtik router to a WIFI
Definition: The quick set is not working. It chrashes with almost all changes. So we need to update it.
Solution: there is weird work arround: 1) scan wifi interfaces 2) try to connect to any wlan 3)go to quick set and set disconnect 5) now quick set works and we can connect to a wireless network.
Even with this the router is not able to update so we will do it using FTP
1) Quick set:
CPE - Short for "Customer Premises Equipment", this term is used to mean a "wireless station". It connects to a (wireless) network, like your computer would, but doesn't create its own (like an access point).
Home AP - Simple access point. One SSID, no VLANs, etc.
PTP Bridge - Used for setting up a "Point to Point" link. Tends to be used to extend a single network to another site that doesn't have a cable running to it.
WISP AP - "Professional" access point ("WISP" is "Wireless Internet Service Provider", I think). It can serve multiple SSIDs at once, has VLAN support (to have each SSID be its own, isolated network, maybe with firewalling and routing between them), and other advanced things.
2)Using the PoE port of the router to power the IP-DECT
port 1 may be used to PoE the IP-DECT 400.
As is the default port to gateway, we have to set the gateway in other port, or find if we can use other ports to PoE.
NOTE: After some time we have found that the PoE output is PORT 10#, we can use port 1# as gateway. Now we will check if the voltage of this output is appropriate for the IP-DECT 400
NOTE2: The power of the router is not enough to power up the server IP-DECT 400. We proceed to connect it with the tenda PoE Adapter 1500S.
3) Configuring the ROUTER to bypass the proxy while we are connected to ISAE network.
We will try to set proxy.isae.fr as the default web proxy. This way the router may be able to be updated.
As this task will be too long, we decided to update the router manually or after the satellite connection.
4) Finding the IP-DECT 400 and configuring it
4.1) Finding the IP addres and connecting to the webconfig portal:
We used the IP scan to detect all the used IP connected to the router and found the IP of the server IP-DECT 400.
We found that DHCP put the 192.168.88.251 this time. A priori, we will set all these IP static after.
We tried different pairs of defaults user/pass to access the web config page. Resulting that admin/admin was the correct one
4.2) finding the PIN code to connect the voIP terminals
It's configurable in the user page of the configuraiton web of IP-DECT 400
4.3) Connect to a server SIP
We can't see if the IP-DECT 400 can act as server VoIP. We will try to connect to an exteranl SIP server
Problem encountered: PROBLEM 3
4.4) updating the router by FTP
We reached to updated the router to the 6.26 version. We stil have the same problems althougth.
4.5) Configuring Microtik
blablabla
4.6) DHCP static directions for IP-DECT 400 (192.168.88.251) and the miniPC freePBX server (192.168.88.253)
4.7) Stablishing internal connection:
Connexion interne:
Proxy: 127.0.0.1 (localhost)
KWS is a dispositive with the same function as the IP-DECT 400 and it has a better documentation:
http://support.spectralink.com/sites/default/files/resource_files/KIRK_Wireless_Server_300_6000_Asterisk_Technical_Bulletin_0.pdf
5)Configuring the mini-PC
6) register phone put proxi : 192.168.88.153 in install the asterisk sip setting to connect the voip server on the DECT
go to : configuration => SIP => proxi1 http://mirror.freepbx.org/modules/release/2.9/
-select the lettest sipsetting.
-upload it in module admin.
go to : http://www.freepbx.org/support/documentation/howtos/howto-setup-a-remote-sip-extension
It explains how to configure the sip settings to do connect the VOIP server add new extension.
to others devices.
VERY IMPORTANT on the VOIP server, when adding new extension (new phone) we must cancel the secret field (let it blank) in the part Device options.
(systematicaly each time we change the config of the phone).
7) conference
download the module conference from : http://mirror.freepbx.org/modules/release/2.2/ (exemple : conferences-1.2.1.tgz ) and upload it in module admin.
